(Social Thinking, Executive function, Physical fitness)
Ages 16 - 25 years
Friends in STEP is designed to increase independence with activities of daily living, social communication, fitness, nutrition, and problem solving skills. Abilities First will organize and plan community outings for members to utilize these skills and use them in their everyday life.
Friends in STEP meets once per week 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Staff: Physical, Occupational Therapist, and Speech-Language Pathologist,
- An evaluation is needed for appropriate placement,
- Please note that some insurance companies may cover the cost of group therapy for children with a medical diagnosis and statement of medical necessity from your physician.
