Meet Golf Classic Ambassador 2019 Maxwell McGlothen

Meet Golf Classic Ambassador 2019 Maxwell McGlothen

Maxwell

Maxwell is a beautiful, affectionate, charismatic four-year-old and is the light of his parents’ eyes, and everyone who meets him. He loves tigers, trucks, his family, and learning new things every day.

At a mere 10 months old, Maxwell’s pediatrician sent him to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for global development delays as he just wasn’t hitting the milestones an infant should be. He has been to several specialists throughout his time there, with the most recent being at the neuromuscular clinic to seek an answer as to why he has such low muscle tone preventing him from standing, walking or simply just speaking clearly on his own.

While we do not have a diagnosis today, we know that he is improving with the help from Abilities First. He attends the Early Learning Center for preschool and daycare. He also has a need for their Pediatric Therapies Program. He is cared for through Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy on a weekly basis and he is making great strides with the Abilities Frist therapists and teachers. We do not know where we would be today without their help and support.
