Apply For Vouchers
Your County Department of Disabilities often sets aside funds for Summer Vouchers that can be used to offset the cost of camps and other expenses. Please click the button to the right to see information for many of our local counties. Funding may also be available through the Ohio RISE program. Grant Funding
Community Fund Ohio is a nonprofit located in Northeast Ohio serving people and families living with disabilities throughout our state. Their Individual Grants provide access to resources for a variety of needs, including summer camps.
Two types of individual grants are offered:
- Special Needs Grant With Financial Hardship: Designed for Ohio residents with disabilities who receive SSI, Medicaid, or any HCBS Waiver (Up to $7500 lifetime total).
- Special Needs Grant: Intended for Ohio residents with disabilities who DO NOT receive SSI, Medicaid, or any HCBS Waiver (Up to $2,500 lifetime total).
From the ASDF website:
- Filling out this application does not guarantee you will receive financial assistance.
- Applications are looked at in the order they are received and assistance is given based on the amount of funds available.
- Any application via email, mail or phone call will not be considered. If we have questions or need additional information, we will reach out via email.
- Once you have applied, please do not re-apply or email/call to check on the status. We will email you and let you know if you are receiving financial assistance.
- ASDF relies on donations from the public in order to provide its valuable programs.
- Payments are made by check and will be sent directly to the camp/program.
Scholarship Funds
Donate to the General Scholarship Fund
Click the picture to the right to donate to the Abilities First General Scholarship Fund. Families with financial needs will be able to apply for these funds to offset the cost of Summer Camp. Funds are limited to what has been donated. To get information on how to qualify for a scholarship click the button below.

Individual Scholarship Fund
Click on the pictures below to donate to a specific camper by putting their name in the MEMO of your donation. The families will be notified as these funds are donated.
